Troubleshooting & Guides

1. My iPhone doesn't recognize my USB flash drive

Ensure your drive is formatted as exFAT, APFS, or FAT32. Apple's iOS cannot write to NTFS (Windows-only) formatted drives. You can reformat the drive on any Mac (Disk Utility) or Windows PC as exFAT. Also ensure your USB-C connector is clean and securely connected.

2. How to back up an entire iCloud Drive folder

On the MoveUSB dashboard, scroll down to iPhone & iCloud Documents, tap Manage Documents, and select Add Files or Folders. Browse to iCloud Drive and pick any folder. MoveUSB will recursively scan and count all files and subfiles in that folder hierarchy, backing them up with original structure preserved.

3. How do I recover photos deleted with Clean Up & Dedup?

MoveUSB never permanently deletes photos immediately. All cleaned items are placed into your iPhone's standard Recently Deleted album in Apple Photos, where you have 30 days to review and recover them if desired.

4. Managing or Restoring Subscriptions

If you reinstalled MoveUSB or switched to a new iPhone, open the Paywall or Settings inside MoveUSB and tap Restore Purchases. To cancel or modify your subscription, go to your iPhone's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions at any time.

5. Battery or Low-Power Warnings during Transfer

Writing hundreds of gigabytes directly to external hardware requires significant power. If your battery level drops below 20%, MoveUSB automatically pauses to prevent data corruption. Plug your iPhone into a charger or dual-port adapter during large backups.
